Ernst & Young Appoints National HR Director

Ernst & Young New Zealand is pleased to announce the appointment of Jo Avenell to the position of National Human Resources (HR) Director.

Jo has recently returned to New Zealand following twelve years in the UK, where she headed up Strategic Change Management within the Global New Business department for Credit Suisse First Boston before joining Ernst & Young UK in 2003.

Whilst in the UK, Jo also completed a Diploma in Change Management, Diploma in Business Performance Coaching and is currently studying for an MSc in Organisational Behaviour through the University of London.

She also sat on the Executive Committee for Women in Banking & Finance (WIBF), a UK networking organisation with over 700 members. In addition Jo was responsible for establishing and chairing several Toastmasters clubs in London including CSFB, Citigroup, Deutsch Bank and WIBF.

Jo is a qualified Chartered Accountant (BCom, Auckland) and spent five years in audit with Coopers & Lybrand before heading to the UK.
