BRANZ entry in Dunlop Targa NZ Roadrace

BRANZ entry in Dunlop Targa NZ Roadrace

When the Dunlop Targa NZ Roadrace takes off from Pukekohe on Monday 23 October, all eyes at BRANZ will be on Car 215.

In a leap of lateral thinking, Chris Kane, BRANZ Science Communications Manager suggested that this year, he should quite literally take the “maintaining your home” message on the road. “After a bit of persuasion,” he admits, BRANZ agreed to a signage sponsorship for his entry, Car 215.

A competitive race driver of ten years’ Chris is in a good position to know exactly how much time, effort and dedication goes into maintaining a top performing race car. “In fact, each of these cars is maintained to a standard better than practically any domestic building in New Zealand,” he says. “Fortunately, the time and cost of keeping the average home in New Zealand up to standard is a lot more reasonable than that which is required for these vehicles.”

Chris will use the event to promote “Maintaining Your Home” a publication recently released by BRANZ, and available from leading bookstores and DIY stores throughout New Zealand.
