Extended wireless coverage with new resellers

Press Release: Wellington, 16 October 2006

Optimation extends wireless coverage with new resellers

Optimation has signed two new resellers for AirTight Networks, whose industry-leading wireless security solutions it represents in New Zealand.

Both resellers have been carefully selected for their fit with Optimation’s goal of helping businesses optimise their information technology environments.

Expert Solution Providers Limited (ESP) has been selected to cover the North Island. ESP provides security and infrastructure services, consulting, and a range of LAN and network support services.

“Building on our established base of wireless solutions and IDP offerings we see the AirTight product set as a natural close fit for our clients,” says John King, ESP’s managing director. “Wireless networks often suffer from poor or lax security, hence the need for AirTight’s range of market-leading solutions to complement what we are already doing.”

Dunedin-based Marine Data Systems will cover the South Island.

AirTight garners research honours

AirTight’s SpectraGuard enterprise product has recently been rated the best wireless security solution in head-to-head comparisons with its competitors conducted by independent research organisations including Gartner Group and Tolly Inc.

“This research backs up the evaluations done by Optimation’s Security practice when we began seeking the optimum wireless security solution for our New Zealand customers,” says Alan Moore, Optimation’s Technology Services Manager. “We started working with AirTight in April as their national distributor. Since then, the majority of our customers who have been made aware of wireless security exposures and viewed the Airtight solution demonstration have moved quickly on to a proof-of-concept or purchase.”
