Ernst & Young Appoints New Chairman

With more than thirty years of service to Ernst & Young, internationally and in New Zealand, Gordon Fulton has been appointed Chairman of the Board. He replaces outgoing Chairman Michael Stanley.

Gordon is a Partner and Professional Practice Director of the Assurance Practice for Ernst & Young New Zealand. He has been a member of the Board for three years.

Gordon moved to New Zealand nine years ago, following a two-year posting in Cleveland, USA, directing the development of computer-based tools and audit techniques for the worldwide Ernst &Young firm.

Prior to his internal assignment in Cleveland, he had been an audit partner in the London office, directing a large client portfolio. Gordon’s financial sector specialisation includes banking and fund management.
