Kim Crawford Wines Forget The Oak and Grab Gold

Kim Crawford Wines are celebrating their 2006 Air New Zealand Wine Awards results, winning an outstanding six gold medals and collecting an astonishing haul of medals 30 from the 40 Kim Crawford wines entered.

Kim Crawford said "Six golds and thirty medals overall is a great follow up for our winemaking team after winning Champion Wine of Show at the same competition last year." In 2005 Kim Crawford Wines made show history winning Champion Wine of Show with a Sauvignon Blanc for the first time since the awards began in 1988. Taking four gold medals for Sauvignon Blanc, consolidates Kim Crawford Wines reputation as a leading producer of the NZ wine industry's biggest selling and most commercially critical wine.

To Company Principal and Co-Founder Erica Crawford, gold medals for two distinct styles of Chardonnay is particularly encouraging.
