Sharp's new 46" Aquos LCD TV - a world leader to be available in NZ

The latest Sharp Aquos LCD TV, the new 46" LC46G7, will offer world-leading technology right across the board.

The first LCD screen in New Zealand to feature Sharp's 8th generation glass, the 46" features a "Full-Spec" High Definition LCD panel from Sharp's new Kameyama Plant No. 2, the world's most advanced LCD production facility.

This newly developed Black Advanced Super View Full- HD 1080P LCD panel boasts an incredible native contrast ratio of 2000:1 in combination with a full-motion video response rate of 4msec* to produce excellent black enhancement and clear, vivid video reproduction.
*4msec is obtained with Quick Shoot set to Advanced Mode (Impulse drive for Quick Shoot is enabled for 60-Hz video signals only).

This means viewers will enjoy stunning high-definition video images in vivid, vibrant detail and with ultra -crisp blacks, regardless of their viewing environment.

They will also enjoy superb audio, thanks to the new, in-built 1-Bit Digital Amplifier. Specifically developed for the Aquos range and capable of sampling rates up to an astonishing 5.6 MHz, this unique digital amplifier combines with Sharp's highly rated High Aperture Ratio Speaker System to deliver unrivalled audio quality that reproduces clear, natural so sound close to the quality of the original it is almost impossible to tell the difference.

The LC46G7 features Sharp's new Four Wavelength Backlight System, which enhances red colour reproduction for deeper reds and more natural skin colours.

It also has two HDMI Terminals for "digital to digital" connection to a range of audio/visual equipment plus a DVI-I Terminal for PC Connection and is Sky HD Ready. Other features include advanced OPC (Optical Picture Control), 60,000 hours Long Life Backlight and a secondary Multi System Analogue TV Tuner (PAL/SECAM/NTSC). Multi-function terminals incorporate two component, three AV 'In', one Digital Audio 'Out', one AV 'Out', one S-Video In and headphones capability.

As one would expect from the world's leading brand of LCD TVs, the new Aquos LC46G7 looks as fantastic as it performs. Stylishly designed in contemporary titanium finish and featuring Sharp's sleek horizontal under screen speaker, the LC46G7 can be either wall mounted or stand alone. This new model also offers wide viewing angles of 176° from top to bottom, or left to right, enabling greater freedom in viewing position.

The LC46G7 will be available in early February 2007.
