Meat & Wool New Zealand nominations close soon

Director nominations for Meat & Wool New Zealand’s Western North Island and Central South Island electoral districts close on Wednesday 10 January 2007.

Nominations must be submitted on the official form, which can be obtained by calling the Election Hotline freephone 0508 666 336.

The two electoral districts where elections will be held are currently represented by Jeremy Austin (Western North Island electorate) and David Douglas (Central South Island electorate).

Both David Douglas and Jeremy Austin have signalled their intentions to seek re-election.

Nominations must be received by 5pm 10 January 2007.

Remits are also being sought from levy payers for Meat & Wool New Zealand’s Annual General Meeting. Livestock farmers who want to do this are also invited to lodge them with the Returning Officer by 10 January 2007. The AGM is being held in Wanaka on 8 March 2007, at 5pm in the New Zealand Fighter Pilots Museum.
