Restaurant Of The Year Celebrates First
Birthday

New Zealand’s current Restaurant of the Year, Partingtons at the Langham, will celebrate its first birthday on 7 February 2007 by serving guests the award-winning menu that won it the national title.
Partingtons was named New Zealand Restaurant of the Year at the New Zealand Culinary Fare last October after designing, cooking and serving a series of courses to a panel of New Zealand’s top foodies from a mystery box of ingredients.
The winning six-course menu which guests will be served as part of the one-year celebrations features a main of poached roulade of sole and Blue Swimmer crab on sautéed asparagus with smoked freshwater eel, potato tortellini and a light crayfish sauce. Dessert is a Valrhona chocolate and honey fondant with cherry and prune compote and rhubarb yoghurt ice-cream.
The birthday menu will be served from 6.30pm and costs $85 per person for six courses. Matching wines are an additional $50 per person.
Reservations are essential and can be made by phoning 0800 61 62 61 or by emailing akl.partingtons@langhamhotels.com.
