Goal to Grow Auckland Presence

New Harcourts Office Part of Goal to Grow Auckland Presence

After over two years of looking for the right location to open their new Harcourts office in popular Northcote on Auckland’s North Shore, business partners Margaret Collings, Dane Brown, and Tania Esdaile have opened in the high profile location of 107a Lake Road.

A well known industry figure, Mrs Collings owns two award winning Harcourts offices in Birkenhead and Beach Haven, with the new Northcote office the nearest office to the Harbour Bridge. This has created a close knit triangle for full coverage on the North Shore to the west of the motorway Northcote and Hillcrest through Birkenhead and Birkdale to Beach Haven.

Having been ‘born and bred’ in the area, Dane Brown first joined Harcourts Birkenhead four years ago in residential property sales, before moving to Harcourts Beach Haven as part of a career path into management and now ownership. He described Northcote as a very desirable area because of the “excellent schooling, good shopping, easy access to the two nearby tertiary institutes, and being within a 10 minute drive to central city and the Shore’s popular beaches.” Tania Esdaile has been with the team since the Birkenhead office opened in 1999, and will continue to focus on the office systems and marketing side of the business.

With five sales consultants (including one specialising in businesses) in the Northcote office Mr Brown noted that since opening late last year, the public response had been very positive, particularly with the office being able to offer indepth local knowledge which their clients appreciate. The official opening was held 19 January with invited guests including North Shore City Mayor, George Wood, to ‘cut the ribbon’.

Harcourts New Zealand CEO, Bryan Thomson said, “This new office is an exciting way to start the new year as the very first Harcourts office to open anywhere in the world in 2007! We are always pleased to open offices in New Zealand, however with a major strategic focus on growing Harcourts in the Auckland region, it was particularly pleasing both to see this new office and one of our team advancing their careers from sales to ownership, which we take great pride in assisting and encouraging. Harcourts Northcote offers their clients a combination of reputable brand, experienced management and local knowledge, and we are confident the new team will provide real value to their community.”
