Millbrook Resort Targets Conference Buyers at AIME

An upgraded conference facility, a $10 million dollar refurbishment programme and a fantastic incentive to book a conference at Queenstown’s five-star Millbrook Resort are to be presented to conference buyers and organisers at AIME next month.

Adding a new dimension to Millbrook’s convention amenities, The Pavilion is a sumptuous year-round silked and carpeted function room complete with stylish chandeliers, French doors, a fully landscaped outdoor seating area and a separate F&B service area. Catering for groups of up to 140 people it is superbly located to offer sweeping views of the Millbrook grounds and surrounding mountains while overlooking the 18th green.

The Pavilion complements Millbrook’s existing conference and incentive spaces which also include The Millhouse, catering for up to 100, The Clubhouse, suitable for small functions or lunches for 50 to 60 people, and Waterfall Cottage, designed for meetings for up to 18 people.

And conference delegates will love the stunning $10 million dollar refurbishment of Millbrook’s accommodation villas, says new Sales and Marketing Manager Sarah Stacey.

“The Hotel Villas and Villa Suites are undergoing refurbishment overseen by Virginia Fisher who furnished the original Millbrook Villas. The results are stunning with a modern but still classic look, and a real sense of light, warmth, beauty and luxury.”

More than 80 Villa and Villa Suites are being refurbished -- the first were completed before Christmas and the rest are to be rolled out over the coming year.

Conference organisers who book and confirm a conference at Millbrook before the end of March 2008 (subject to availability) to the value of $NZ10,000 will be rewarded with a $1000 food and beverage or golf credit to be used at the resort.

“This offer is available to companies conferencing at Millbrook and could be used to enhance a cocktail function or a gala dinner, or go towards golfing rewards,” says Ms Stacey.

Ms Stacey joined the Millbrook team on January 3 and has eight years marketing experience, the previous four years working with SkyCity Queenstown Casino.

“It’s very exciting to market this unique and wonderful property which as a convention destination has an unparalleled combination of facilities, amenities and location,” she says.

Set in a natural alpine amphitheatre on 500 acres, Millbrook offers guests a championship golf course in an inspiring and invigorating location, a history of tradition that spans 150 years, luxury accommodation with a French influence, exceptional dining options and of course The Spa at Millbrook, with its leading edge treatments.

Millbrook has been recognised as one of the top 500 hotels and resorts in the world and in 2006 was named among the top 25 hotels in Australia, New Zealand the South Pacific in the prestigious Travel & Leisure annual World’s Best reader’s poll.
