Last Chance to Enter Karaka Million

Last Chance to Enter Karaka Million

There is a one million dollar prize pool up for grabs for the graduates of the 2007 New Zealand Bloodstock National Yearling Sales Series and just days to secure the chance for your horse to stay in the running.

Entry to the Karaka Million for graduates of the Premier, Select and Festival Sales closes on Tuesday 6th March.

The inaugural Karaka Million, to be hosted by the Northern Cluster of racing clubs, is set to be held at a twilight meeting on the eve of next year's Karaka Premier Sale at Auckland Racing Club's Ellerslie racecourse. The meeting promises to add an exciting new dimension to Sales week at Karaka in 2008, and with a million dollars in stakemoney it's a timely opportunity for prospective buyers to boost the coffers.

Trainers and owners, as well as the owners of the runners when they went though the ring, will all share in the spoils.

The initial entry fee is NZ$750+GST due by 6 March. A sustaining payment of NZ$1,000+GST does not have to be paid until 1 August, giving trainers and owners plenty of time to judge the progress of their horses before further committing themselves.

Anyone interested in entering their yearlings in the Karaka Million should contact Ruth Hargreaves at New Zealand Bloodstock now: email ruth@nzb.co.nz or phone + 64 9 298 0055.
