NZ's Events Calendar Continues Strong Growth

Eventfinder.co.nz continues to experience strong growth in audience numbers, with January traffic figures up 25% on the previous month to 48,000 unique browsers.

According to Nielsen//NetRatings, the site received 39,000 domestic users, ranking Eventfinder as the 71st most popular site in the country, and number 10 in the entertainment category.

Eventfinder was recently re-launched with a new design and added features, making it easier for organisers and promoters to list their own events for viewing by the general public.

Over 4,000 events have been listed on Eventfinder by more than 2,000 members since it's launch in January 2006.

The new site design also includes improved ad placement, providing better opportunities for advertisers and agencies to get in front of an audience that has increased every month for a year.

"Our audience is very loyal, with around a 30% return rate" said Michael Turner, Eventfinder's chief executive. "Combined with our growth in new browsers and members, we're on a strong footing to make the push into New Zealand's Top 50 websites."

Turner said the reason for Eventfinder's consistent growth is the result of a solid business model combined with a commitment to customer service.

"Our audience numbers keep going up because people want a single, easy to use source for finding out what's on around the country. Our relationship with the events industry means event managers and promoters both large and small can get the information out to the wider public quickly and easily."
