SKY Mobile TV - over 10,000 customers a day log on

Over 10,000 New Zealanders a day are logging on to their mobiles to watch up to 20,000 video streams courtesy of SKY TV and Vodafone.

Customers are watching their favourite cartoons, the latest news and sport and checking out great MTV reality shows like Pimp My Ride and Punk'd, exclusively on their Vodafone 3G mobiles.

SKY TV and Vodafone have teamed up to offer eight of your favourite channels*, specially formatted for your mobile. The first month of service has been phenomenal, says Vodafone General Manager of Media and Entertainment Stephen Smith.

"We've been really impressed by the level of demand. Customers are taking to the service and we've been inundated with people signing up. Customers are delighted to find they can watch their favourite shows while they're on the go."

All eight channels* are available for just $2.50 a week, but customers who subscribe before 31st March get the first three weeks free.

John Fellet, CEO, SKY Television says he is delighted with the launch of SKY Mobile TV. "The partnership with Vodafone is another example of SKY realising its commitment to offer content to customers anytime, anywhere, so that they can watch what they want, when they want to."

To watch SKY TV on your mobile simply visit Vodafone live! on your 3G mobile and select SKY Mobile TV from the main menu, or freeTXT 'SKY' to 'LIVE' (5483) and you'll be sent a link directly to the service.

*Sky Movies consists of promotional trailers/clips for the movie serv ices available to Sky's television subscribers and is included in SKY Mobile TV for free
