Accolades Roll in for Millbrook

The accolades are rolling in for Queenstown’s five-star Millbrook resort with yet another award from the prestigious Travel and Leisure magazine.

Featured in the March issue of the magazine, with a circulation of almost a million, the winners in the World Best Hotel Values Awards were selected by Travel and Leisure’s influential readers, renowned as being among the most discriminating travelers in the world.

Millbrook was the only New Zealand property to be named as one of the highest ranking hotels for value in the $250 to $400 a night category within New Zealand, Australia, and the South Pacific, picking up second place.

The magazine asked its readers to rate hotels, cities, airlines, islands, cruise lines and tour operators according to value.

Travel and Leisure says the results show that value is about more than price, and Millbrook General Manager Jan Hunt agrees.

“Millbrook has celebrated some major achievements within the past 12 months including the launch of a $5 million refurbishment programme, awards for being named among the world’s best overseas golf resorts and rating among the top luxury properties in the country, and the astoundingly successful launch of a multi-million dollar property and golf course development at Millbrook West,” she said.

”Those accolades and developments have resulted in Millbrook going from strength to strength in all areas of our business including accommodation, food and beverage, golf and spa.

“That we experience that level of growth while still being seen to deliver fantastic value to our guests is testament to our philosophy of always going the extra mile.”
