InFocus sees big things for the projection market

Auckland - March 1, 2007 — Projection industry pioneer, InFocus Corporation (NASDAQ:INFS) is shining new light on the projection market in New Zealand and Australia, increasing the company’s investment and focus in the region.

The addition of Australian projection industry expert, Sean Tobin as InFocus' regional sales manager for New Zealand & Australia, combined with new office facilities in Sydney and dedicated channel and service managers will contribute to InFocus' pursuit to educate and grow the Australasian market in 2007.

Sean Tobin said that InFocus, as the industry pioneer, was in a unique position to capitalise on the steady growth expected in the projection industry this year.

“As high-end projection technology becomes more affordable this opens a new segment for sales into institutes and learning facilities as well as revisiting some of the current corporate boardroom installations with new products from InFocus' Work Big and Learn Big ranges coming out this year,” Mr Tobin said.

“In addition, the emergence of competitively priced projectors in the home entertainment segment will be a contributing factor as we are right on the verge of launching some very exciting InFocus Play Big projectors here for the consumer market,” he added.

Sean Tobin has more than 10 years of experience working with the Australian projector industry across many areas including managing product portfolios and national channel relationships, overseeing large-venue staging and professional audio video installation. Most recently he managed channel relationships for BenQ and was responsible for the company’s full projection portfolio on a national level.

Sean Tobin will be based at InFocus’ new North Sydney office, and will work closely with Patt Mosley, Channel Manager and Duke Mosley, Service Manager.

“With the additional resources we have committed to New Zealand and Australia and the strong team we now have in place, we will continue to educate and grow the market here,” Joe O’Sullivan said. “Our focus is on delivering the industry’s best big picture experience while supporting our local channel partners, resellers and customers,” he added.
