29th March 2007

Route change for 900 express

The 900 express route will change from Monday 2 April. The route change will provide extra capacity at Constellation Station and avoid Wairau Road congestion.

Citybound buses will depart Target Road (opposite Link Drive) and follow a new route via Target Road, Caribbean Drive, Goldfinch Rise, Unsworth Drive, Barbados Drive, Meadowood Drive, Devonshire Road, Caribbean Drive, Sunset Road to Constellation station. After departure from Constellation station, buses will travel direct to Fanshawe St along SH1.

Buses will depart Target Road at 6.40am, 7am, 7.20am, 7.40am, 8am, 8.20am and 8.40am.

Buses to Unsworth Heights will leave the city at the same times travelling directly to Constellation Station. From there the route will continue via Sunset Road, Caribbean Drive, Devonshire Road, Meadowood Drive, Barbados Drive, Unsworth Drive, Goldfinch Rise, Caribbean Drive to the corner of Target Road and Wairau Road.

ARTA’s General Manager, Customer Services, Mark Lambert says, “By improving this popular route we hope to help relieve Wairau Road congestion and provide greater capacity at Constellation. With the number of North Shore commuters heading to Auckland rising each day, ARTA is making regular bus travel a positive experience.”
