Criterion Introduces a New 1800mm Entertainment Centre to the New Zealand and Australian Markets

Auckland, 05 April 2007: Following the increasing popularity of widescreen televisions in the home, furniture leader Criterion Group has introduced a new 1800mm entertainment centre into the New Zealand and Australian markets to meet the demand for larger flat panel TVs.

‘The Edge’ has been developed in response to consumer demand for stylish furniture to accommodate Plasma and LCD screens up to 70“ in size.

Marketing Manager, Chris Pickering says “Criterion is developing products to meet the market needs. ‘The Edge’ is a high-quality unit, engineered to support the weight of large flat panel televisions and its stylish, modern look is adaptable to any living room or home theatre setting.”

The stand has a full back panel and cable ports to keep unsightly wires out of view and four side drawers with fully extendable drawer runners – the two bottom ones with ‘prop storage’ to conveniently hold up to 90 CDs or 40 DVDs. Incorporating a toughened 8mm glass top and shelf, finished in black or white lacquer, ‘The Edge’ complements the latest Plasma televisions and modern interiors.

Recognised as the leader in the design and innovation of entertainment, office and lifestyle furniture, Criterion was among the first to develop innovative solutions for accommodating the growing range of affordable LCD and Plasma screens on the market.

With its simplistic style, strength and stability, ‘The Edge’ retails at $1899 and is available from Harvey Norman, Noel Leeming, and Appliance Connexion stores.
