“Massive Interest” in Iconic Bluff ‘Paua House’

NEWS RELEASE

“Massive Interest” at Iconic Bluff ‘Paua House’ Auction

The internationally renowned iconic ‘Paua House’ in Bluff is still for sale following an auction this afternoon at the Harcourts Invercargill auction rooms.

Harcourts Invercargill Sales Manager, Carl Wilson, said the property, which was previously owned by the late Fred and Myrtle Flutey, had created a lot of buying interest both locally and from further a field and they were currently working with interested parties which they were confident would result in a positive outcome.

“We have received massive public interest since the property went on the market, with a lot of our efforts focused on working with all those people who contacted us and visited the open homes to ensure those with a genuine buying interest received the information they needed.”

Set on a generous 1444sqm section, the 1950s three bedroom ‘brick and rough cast’ home has two living rooms and an office, as well as “spectacular views” across the main road, Marine Parade, to the sea.

Mr Wilson added that they had worked closely with the current owner (and grandson of the Fluteys), Ross Bowen, after he made the decision to sell the house earlier this month, with Mr Bowen thanking them this afternoon for their efforts to date as they continued to focus on achieving a successful conclusion for all parties involved.
