Untouched World foots it on world stage with industry giants
What do Daimler-Chrysler, Swarovski & Co, Shell Oil and New Zealand’s Untouched World have in common?
All are considered world leaders in Sustainable Development and have been invited to present case studies on their organisations at a UNESCO sponsored international forum in Bonn 23 – 25 May.
Organised by UNESCO, the International Consultation on Education for Sustainable Development is a showcase of industry leaders who are introducing sustainable practices across a range of activities including staff training and education; training staff of suppliers; supply chain sustainability, and in working with schools and the community.
Case studies from each organisation will then be discussed by the representatives present in order to develop UNESCO endorsed success factors and guidelines to share with other corporates worldwide.
Peri Drysdale, CEO Untouched World and Chairman of Untouched World Foundation says this is a first for Untouched World and a first for a New Zealand company.
“We are delighted Untouched World has been recognised as a world leader in sustainable practices,” she said.
“This is the first time a New Zealand company has been invited to this forum and it will put Untouched World and New Zealand on the map as taking sustainable business practice seriously.”
Ends.
