CallPlus Announces Establishment Of Business Units To Drive Further Excellence

In Product Delivery And Service

Initiative allows for continued expansion of the business

Auckland, Wednesday 23 May 2007 - CallPlus, New Zealand’s largest 100% kiwi owned full service Telecommunications Company, today announced it will align its business structure in line with key plans to increase the company's delivery of products and services to leverage opportunities such as WiMax, Naked DSL and LLU.

As a result of the reorganisation, four new business units have been formed; CallPlus Retail, Slingshot Retail, Blue Reach, Wholesale and Regulatory. Shared services across these units will be Core Technology, Finance, Human Resources and Administration.

Martin Wylie will continue as CEO across the CallPlus Limited Group of Companies. Each business unit will be led by a General Manger focused on unlocking its potential and driving growth. Dot Johnstone has been appointed as General Manager for CallPlus Retail, Mark Callander as the General Manager of Slingshot Retail and Graham Walmsley General Manager for Wholesale and Regulatory.

As part of the plans a newly created technology department will be responsible for Database Management Applications Development, Core Operations, Design and Build, Project Management and Architecture. This department will be led by Chief Technology Officer Adrian Dick.

“CallPlus has matured from a startup telecommunications company to a major player in the industry – this is supported with the significant revenue and customer growth over the last ten years,” said Malcolm Dick, Executive Chairman for CallPlus. “Our customers have felt the brunt of the challenging environment we operate in for far too long, where services and improvements in technologies are often stifled by Telecom’s hold on its competitors. Our reorganisation is essential and will ensure we are well positioned to aggressively go after Telecom's market share and advance our network build, customer acquisition and product delivery.”
