The next round of The Mitre 10 Mega Jack of All Trades will screen next Saturday June 23rd, as Lower Hutt based designer, Kirsten Drabble takes on Taradale builder, Warwick Beckett for the third place in the finals. Webster got off to a good start in The Mitre 10 Mega Jack of All Trades Competition, beating off hot competition from next week’s contestant Warwick Beckett to win the North Island Final in the second qualifying round of the Mitre 10 MEGA Jack of all Trades on 25 March 2007.
Mike says “It doesn't matter how many Vodafone towers I build, how many houses I have built for other people, how many street lights I replace for Fulton Hogan, how many heat pumps I put in, how many home ventilation systems I install, because when we are having one of Wellingtons huge storms and my 8-year-old daughter is scared she often says to me that "We are safe here aye dad, cause you built our house really strong aye". Cause yes I did, and when you read in a real estate paper they advertise the fact that it is a builder’s own home, it means something!! All the rest are just jobs”.
The action will continue on The Mitre 10 MEGA Jack of All Trades television series screening every Saturday at 5pm on TVONE until the grand final on July 28th, which will see the competitors battle for the $100,000 prize purse and the inaugural title of New Zealand’s Jack of All Trades.
