New Zealand’s top kitchen and bathroom designers being honoured in Dunedin
New Zealand’s top kitchen and bathroom
designers for 2007 will be announced at a special gala event
in Dunedin on Friday night (July 6).
The National Kitchen and Bathroom Association’s (NKBA) annual awards showcase the booming industry and the best of design talent in the country.
A total of 23 kitchen and bathroom design awards will be announced in the Dunedin town Hall.
Shane George of Auckland won the best kitchen design and Lydia Geerlings of Christchurch was named top bathroom designer last year.
Auckland’s Morgan Cronin won both the kitchen and bathroom designs in 2005.
The winners of the two major NKBA awards on Friday night will receive a free trip to Chicago to attend the International Bathroom and Kitchen Show. The event attracts kitchen and bathroom designers and manufactures from all over the world.
The NKBA awards were established 23 years ago to foster New Zealand design talent and to recognise excellence, creativity and innovative thinking.
Association executive director Nicki Mills said the awards encouraged up-and-coming designers, small design businesses and also challenged established firms.
