Welcome to the July 12 edition of the BNZ Weekly Overview.

Nothing major with regard to prospects for growth, interest rates, or the exchange rate in the NZ economy has happened over the past week. Housing data show continuing listings shortages, and while business confidence has worsened investment and employment intentions remain above average while cost and price measures are still in worrying territory. The RB probably will not raise rates at the review late this month but a move further out cannot yet be ruled out.
