ICP Bio Announces Distribution Agreement

ICP Bio Announces Distribution Agreement with VWR International

Auckland, New Zealand,July 31, 2007– Mr. Roger Gower, Chairman of the board of ICP Bio, a New Zealand based protein biologics manufacturing company, announced today that the company has signed a distribution agreement with VWR International, LLC, a leading global distributor of scientific equipment, supplies, chemicals and furniture.

Under the agreement, ICP Bio and VWR will collaborate to make ICP Bio’s plasma protein products available to the biopharmaceutical industry in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, UK, Europe and Ireland.

Mr. Gower said “this is the next step of ICP’s development after completion of the factory and associated processing plant, restructuring of management and the shareholders rights issue. We are now moving to the sales and marketing stage and are experiencing pleasing sales enquiries.”

“Mr. Brent King, Director of ICP Bio and Chairman of Viking Capital, and Mr. Brent Pownall, General Manager Sales¬–Americas, attended negotiations and signed the contract with VWR in the USA.”, Mr. Gower said.

Brent King said, “After a review of our distribution options it became apparent that VWR would be an excellent distribution partner for ICP Bio. They have a very significant infrastructure, excellent management and staff, extensive sales force and a very impressive client list.”

VWR is headquartered in West Chester, Pennsylvania, centrally located in the biotech hub of the US Eastern Seaboard, with access to users of ICP Bio’s products.

“We still have work to do to get final orders” said Mr. King, “We are currently working hard on these areas and expect to see material progress in the coming months.”

Mr. Tim Grogan, VWR Senior Vice President said, “The agreement with ICP Bio strengthens VWR’s diversity of product offerings to meet our customer’s unique needs. New Zealand’s status as a GBR1 country enables VWR to sell product free of BSE and other viruses. The chromatography process used by ICP Bio also produces a high quality product with less impact on the native protein of the products. The combination of the New Zealand sourced product and the chromatographic manufacturing process makes the product very appealing to VWR’s customers in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.”

Brent King said “ICP Bio has made considerable progress over the past 12 months. This is another positive step for the company and we are hoping to make further announcements as arrangements are finalized.”
