North & South and Metro Editor-in-Chief Announced
ACP Magazines today announced the
appointment of Sally Duggan as Editor-in-Chief of Metro and
North & South magazines.
Duggan moves into the newly
created position from her current role of Editorial Director
– Lifestyle Titles. She will draw on her background in
newspaper journalism and extensive magazine publishing
experience as Editorial Director of KiaOra, Little
Treasures, Your Home & Garden, NZ Home + Entertaining and
Taste.
“Sally brings to the role a unique blend of
talents. She has a post-graduate degree in journalism from
the United States, a background in newspaper reporting and
an interest in current affairs journalism,” says ACP
Magazines Group Publisher, Debra Millar.
“During her
time as Editorial Director, Sally has seen Taste magazine
achieve a circulation of 29,888*, successfully relaunched
Your Home & Garden and conceived the impending relaunch of
NZ Home & Entertaining as HOME New Zealand. ACP’s custom
published titles, Little Treasures and KiaOra (the Air New
Zealand inflight magazine) have also blossomed under
Sally’s management.
“Sally was keen to return to a more hands-on editorial role, and I’m delighted that we have been able to secure someone of her experience to oversee the editorial development of two suchiconic magazines,” says Millar.
Sally Duggan says she feels privileged to have the chance to steer the editorial evolution of North & South and Metro magazines. “These titles are pillars of journalistic excellence. My focus will be to ensure they satisfy their readers’ interests and aspirations, and serve as a showcase for the very best writing, photography and art direction,” says Duggan.
“I am fortunate to have two highly experienced lieutenants in Bevan Rapson, Assistant Editor of Metro, and Virginia Larson, Assistant Editor of North & South. Together we will craft world-class magazines relevant to the passions and concerns of their New Zealand audiences.”
