Gull Gives Kiwi
Motorists 5 Cents Off the Premium 98
Gull Cuts 5
Cents Per Litre Force 10 For 36 Hours From Thursday to
Friday
Auckland, 16 August 2007 – Gull New Zealand today announced that it has taken off 5 cents per litre off Gull Force 10 for 36 hours (Thursday 7am to Friday 7pm) as part of its continuation of passing on regular savings to Kiwi motorists.
Auckland motorists are enjoying the new 98 premium biofuel so much so that Gull is in advance of schedule extending the number of sites selling Gull Force 10 to Botany Downs (380 Ti Rakau Drive) which will supply the 98 premium biofuel from noon Friday.
The response from the public has been fantastic says Dave Bodger General Manager of Gull New Zealand.
“So far we estimate that 12,000 kilogrammes less carbon–dioxide has been emitted to the atmosphere from motorists using Gull Force 10 – what a great start from only three outlets that has to be good for us all,” says Bodger.
Bodger also says that Gull has always had a strong commitment to providing Kiwi motorists with choice.
“Motorists love Gull’s Regular 91 and Regular 95 gasoline that are 100% mineral based and from last week they are enjoying the option to choose New Zealand’s first biofuel Gull Force 10 as well. Gull Force 10 is not only improving the environment but gives better vehicle performance.
“We want as many Kiwis as possible to try Force 10 and the many benefits it offers, including the many motorists who can now fill up at Botany as well as the three other locations in the greater Auckland region,” says Bodger.
Bodger says Gull Force 10 is a premium 98 fuel mixed with 10 percent ethanol that is lower in emissions, delivers higher performance while cleaning the engine. For those with older vehicles Gull’s Regular 91 remains a 100% mineral fuel and is available at all Gull outlets.
“Gull Force 10 is endorsed by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority, the Independent Motor Vehicle Dealers Association and Automobile Association as well as by major motor manufacturers – it has also recently powered a 1983 Mazda 323 all the way from Auckland to Invercargill on 3 tanks which is outstanding economy,”
The discount of 5 cents per litre on Force 10 is effective at the four retail sites where Gull currently supplies biofuel (Greville Road, on the North Shore ; New North Road Kingsland; Roscommon Road, Wiri and Ti Rakau Drive Botany Downs).
