Orcon to change way Kiwis view telecommunications

Orcon, committed to changing the way Kiwi’s view the Telecommunications category

For immediate release

100% Kiwi owned telecommunications provider Orcon has today announced that it will give away another 5000 free homeliness between now and the end of August 2007.

Orcon’s Chief Executive Scott Bartlett said "New Zealand’s response to the Orcon ‘free homeline’ offer has been outstanding. Visits to our website and calls to our contact centre have increased dramatically.”

The Orcon ‘free homeline offer’ includes a free basic homeline for 12 months (a saving of $490 per year), an unlimited number of New Zealand landline-to-landline calls, and a max speed download broadband plan with a generous 20gb of data, all for only $79.95 per month.

“Callers are asking ‘is it true?’ and ‘what’s the catch?’ and we’re delighted to tell them it’s true and there is no catch!”

“We’ve been blown away by the response to this offer. Kiwi’s are telling us they are sick of the way it’s been, and they have been hanging on for someone to change it. We are committed to doing just that – and this Offer is just the start!” concluded Bartlett.

The offer will be available until the end of August, and is limited to the first 5000 people to take it up.

Customers can get the offer by going to Orcon’s website, at www.orcon.net.nz/freehomeline.
