BDO Spicers, a national network of chartered accounting Firms today announced that four new Firms are to join its network on 1 October, 2007. These Firms represent the central and eastern regions of the North Island and are McCullochs (Gisborne), Landrigan Waite (New Plymouth), Palairet Pearson (Napier) and McKenzie McPhail (Palmerston North). The four Firms were previously part of the KPMG Associate Network.

The four Firms will join BDO Spicers from 1 October 2007, and from that date will take the name of BDO Spicers. The national network BDO Spicers will now have over 500 professional staff, with 69 Partners across 14 offices nationwide. Colin Christie, Managing Partner of McCullochs in Gisborne, said on behalf of the four new member Firms, “Joining BDO Spicers means that we can retain our local identity while having access to the expertise of a national and international network. Our clients will benefit from the extensive knowledge and presence that BDO Spicers has particularly in audit, tax and corporate finance as well as continuing to deal with one of New Zealand’s strongest business accounting providers”.

BDO Spicers Chairman Judith Stanway said “We are delighted to confirm that these four strong Firms are joining our Network. They bring with them extensive knowledge, understanding and a robust client base as well as great people with longstanding expertise.”
