Chamber Congratulates Opus International on Australian Acquisition

The Wellington Regional Chamber of Commerce has congratulated Opus International Consultants, the New Zealand-based global consultancy, for its latest expansion into Australia.

Opus International, announced today that it has acquired the large Australian based infrastructure consultancy Qantec McWilliam Consulting Engineers.

This is another good example of a Wellington company increasing its presence in its offshore markets said Chamber CEO, Charles Finny.

"New Zealand companies need to go global and this is a model we are keen to encourage. It is good for our balance of payments and it is good for our economy.

"It further enhances Wellington's reputation as centre for companies specialising in the international provision of professional services", Mr Finny concluded.
