Hennessy's Global 'Art of Mixing' In Auckland

The cocktail of the summer is unveiled as Hennessy's Global 'Art of Mixing' tour arrives in Auckland

Hennessy's Global 'Art of Mixing' tour landed in New Zealand on Wednesday 5 September, with the unveiling of a specially created Hennessy Auckland Cocktail.

The global tour offers an opportunity to discover new ways of enjoying the classic Hennessy Cognac, with a selection of exquisite mixes from Moscow, Paris, New York and Shanghai; each reflecting the unique flavours of the region.

The Hennessy Auckland cocktail, created by Pasha's Lewisham Award winning barman Jeremy Earnshaw, was unveiled at a glittering event held at Pasha on Auckland's waterfront.

Hennessy's Global 'Art of Mixing' tour began in 2006, blending the most sophisticated cocktails and the best in musical talent. Around the globe, musicians and DJ's have collaborated at each stop on the tour, the 2006 tour culminating in New York with Kanye West, The Strokes, Goldfrapp and Carl Cox providing the musical entertainment at a star studded celebrity party.

Hennessy's Global 'Art of Mixing' tour reflects how the classic cognac is being enjoyed in new ways by its discerning clientele. While it remains the premium cognac worldwide, savoured by connoisseurs in the traditional manner, the depth and character of Hennessy Cognac makes it the perfect ingredient in a classic cocktail.

Hennessy Auckland Cocktail The cocktail blends Premium Hennessey VSOP Cognac with the sophisticated flavours of maraschino cherry and exotic guava nectar.

30 mls Hennessy VSOP 45 mls Guava nectar 10 mls De Kuyper Marasquin Shake Hennessy, Maraschino liqueur and Guava nectar with ice. Strain into an ice filled tumbler. Garnish with a squeezed lime wedge or wheel and a cherry.
