Accor Hotels Grand Pacific Expo Winners

Accor Hotels Grand Pacific Expo Winners

Two Accor hotels - Novotel Ellerslie and Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge were winners at the recent Grand Pacific Hotel and Attraction Annual Awards held in Australia in August.

The awards recognise supplier excellence in Grand Pacific Tours for the 2006/2007 touring season. An awards dinner was held in Melbourne for 20 of Grand Pacific Tours' top suppliers who were in town to participate in the 2007 Grand New Zealand Coach Expo.

The company's Quality Assurance Program results are compiled from the Passenger Tour Questionnaires received at the end of each tour, which has a high return rate of 82%, making the data a good representation of overall feedback.

Novotel Ellerslie was awarded Recognition of Excellent Performance for the 16 Day Highlights Tour and Mercure Leisure Lodge Dunedin was the winner of the Hotel of the Year for the 16 Day Highlights Tour series.

Grand Pacific Tours is a New Zealand Luxury Coach Holiday Specialist aimed at the mature age traveller, offering an extensive range of tours that cover the traditional touring routes throughout New Zealand and also a range of special interest tours.

Former Mercure Leisure Lodge Dunedin General Manager Rob Poole (now General Manager at Mercure Willis Street Wellington) says the awards represent the hard work these hotels put into providing a quality service to travellers on a Grand Pacific tour.

"Grand Pacific Tours offers a highly respected product and have an excellent reputation. And the award is all the more meaningful because it is based on actual customer feedback. "
