Opus Appoints New Managers in Australia
Opus International Consultants has appointed Kelvin Moody to the position of Regional Manager for New South Wales.
Mr Moody, who is presently the Manager of the Rotorua office of Opus in New Zealand will take up his position this month and will be based at Opus’ Sydney office.
He has been with Opus for 15 years, holding a number of positions with the company. He is a specialist in geotechnical investigation, road design and project management and will bring to his new role as Regional Manager NSW strengths in leadership and business management.
Graham Sweetlove, who is presently Business Manager Environmental Engineering at Opus’ Hamilton, New Zealand office, has been appointed to manage the recently acquired Toowoomba office in Queensland. This office of 20 staff was formerly part of the Group 42 consultancy business that Opus purchased in July.
Mr Sweetlove has been with Opus for nine years, having joined the Pukekohe office before moving to the Environmental Division four years ago where he has shown an aptitude for building up the business and improving profitability.
Opus Chief Executive, Dr Kevin Thompson, said the two appointments will bring to Australia strengths in engineering expertise and business administration.
“With our recent acquisition of large consulting company Qantec McWilliam Consulting Engineers we now have 19 offices in Australia and we are now looking to strengthen our position here and provide high value services for our expanding range of clients. These appointments will provide added expertise to our Australian business,” said Mr Thompson.
