New General Manager Announced for Auckland Hotel

Jireh Hospitality Limited has announced the appointment of seasoned hotelier Andy Tan as General Manager for Auckland City Hotel – Hobson St.

“I am very pleased to welcome Andy to Auckland City Hotel – Hobson St,” says Bernard Soh, Chief Operating Officer for Jireh Hospitality Limited. “He comes to the property with over two decades of hospitality leadership experience.”

Mr Tan has previously worked as Financial Controller for The Rendezvous Hotel in Auckland and also as Financial Controller for Auckland’s Carlton Hotel and The Elizabeth Hotel in Singapore. Mr Tan was an instrumental member of the pre-opening team for the Holiday Inn Park View Singapore and was subsequently appointed as Regional Controller for the Field Team for Holiday Inn Asia Pacific. He also led a $50million project as a pre-opening team member establishing a new site for the prestigious Marina Club at the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club.

Mr Tan will be ably assisted by Victor Fung, Director of Sales. Mr Fung previously worked as Sales Manager at Auckland’s 5 Star Ascott Metropolis Hotel. Prior to this he worked as Sales Manager at the 5 Star M Hotel Singapore, part of the Millennium & Copthorne International Ltd and Sales Manager for the Pan Pacific Singapore, also 5 Star.
