Crocs Come To Town
First world domination, now New Zealand: Innovative footwear company Crocs™ has opened its first concept store in Auckland.
The bright new store on Broadway, Newmarket opened its doors on Friday 21 September to eager shoppers keen to see more of the rapidly expanding Crocs shoe range, which has attracted a strong international following.
In the five years since the company’s inception, Crocs has taken the footwear world by storm, and with more than 40 styles and 25 colours now available, Crocs continues to dominate the footwear market, selling more and more shoes each year.
And Kiwis are catching on to the footwear craze, with more of brightly coloured shoes sold each year in New Zealand - and rising.
“We are delighted to open the very first Crocs concept store in New Zealand,” says Crocs Australasian managing director Andy Witts. “It’s great to be able to provide a one-stop shop for lovers of Crocs shoes and to showcase our very popular shoes at one destination.
“Crocs are a big hit with kids and adults alike and we are experiencing increasing demand for the shoes both here in New Zealand and worldwide.”
Even more styles are scheduled to come to New Zealand shores soon.
“We have some fantastic styles available for customers to try in store and we hope to bring even more Crocs fashion footwear to New Zealand in the next few months,” says Witts.
Crocs, the footwear phenomenon that is taking the world by storm, was started by two Colorado men in search of the perfect boating shoe. They wanted something that was slip-resistant, comfortable and did not mark boat decks.
The original clog model was an instant success and just five years later Crocs’ popularity has extended well beyond the tradition marine community, attracting a wide variety of followers with a variety of fun fashion footwear styles that now also includes high heels!
The Auckland Crocs store is located at 142 Broadway Newmarket, near the traffic lights and is open from 10am-5:30pm Monday to Friday and 10am - 5pm Saturday and 10am - 4:30pm on Sundays.
