BNZ Weekly Overview - Sept 27 2007
Welcome to the September 27 edition of the BNZ Weekly Overview.
This week we have seen generally positive
data released in New Zealand including a rise in consumer
confidence in the September quarter, improving business
sentiment, still strong growth in lending to the private
sector, firm assurance of consents for residential and
non-residential construction, and even a seasonally adjusted
improvement in the net migration inflow. With help from a
weakening greenback the Kiwi dollar is trading at almost
75.0 US cents this afternoon but we are down slightly
against a much stronger Aussie currency.
