A Gourmet European Experience in Auckland’s CBD – Elliott Stables

A new European-inspired food gallery is creating an inner-city gourmet paradise in Auckland. The restoration of Elliott Stables in the CBD is nearly complete, and new tenants offering all things delicious and delectable, will be opening their doors throughout September and October.

Similar to the gourmet food halls that can be found in Melbourne, London or Paris, Elliott Stables offers style, sophistication and substance with up to 23 specialty stores.

The inspiration behind the elegant eatery is businessman and local Auckland resident, Harry van Hoppe. Harry and the team behind Elliott Stables had a vision to create a people friendly location where the Auckland community can come together and share their love of epicurean delights and find a range of gourmet food within the central city.

Harry says, “Elliott Stables gives our community the chance to get more involved in their meals. Ingredients can be seen, smelt, tasted and explored and the purchasing experience can be as enjoyable as eating the meal. We have already received fantastic feedback from those who have been to Elliott Stables and we can’t wait for the rest of Auckland to share the experience.”

Existing tenants Leaf Salad, Samaurai Sushi and Reslau Café & Wine Bar will soon be joined by Aaah! Nourishing Tea (blended teas from experienced herbalist and naturopath, Leanne Pratt), Artisan Wine Suppliers (hand-crafted beer, and wine from boutique local and Australian producers, as well as Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian wines), Bruschetteria (an authentic Italian country kitchen offering cold platters: meat, olives, cheese and all styles of bruschetta), The Whisky Shop (the only specialist whisky shop in the North Island offering over 300 different bottlings of whisky), and Frankie’s Wurstburd (Auckland’s first European Sausage House), guaranteeing that there will be something to please every connoisseur, and their taste buds!

With more stores filled with culinary temptations opening later this year, Elliott Stables is firmly establishing itself as the quintessential Auckland destination for edible indulgences.

Meet, eat, mingle and enjoy!
