MEDIA RELEASE: October 30 2007

OPD team gains global weight

The worldwide group to which Office Products Depot belongs has just got bigger says chief executive Rob MacGregor.

Office Products Depot (OPD), a New Zealand group of independent dealerships, belongs to Business Products Group International (BPGI), the world’s largest consortium of buying groups consisting solely of independent office products dealers.

MacGregor has just returned from the group’s annual meeting in Portugal where he was re-elected to the BPGI board. He says with the addition of European Office Supplies Alliance, which has combined annual sales of NZ$1.3 billion, and French dealer group Sacfom, which has combined annual sales of NZ$778 million, the purchasing power of the global group has strengthened considerably.

BPGI has 21 dealership groups in 19 countries and annual sales of more than NZ$15.5 billion. That ranks it globally as the third largest office products organisation.
