NZ Post Partnership Brings New Opportunities To Kiwi Exporters
A three year partnership between New Zealand (NZ) Post and the New Zealand Trade Centre (NZTC) will bring greater access to exporting opportunities and options in the international logistics market.
NZ Post and the NZTC and New Zealand (NZ) Post have signed a three year partnership agreement which NZTC founder and partner Mike Taillie says will provide exporters with access to a range of competitive logistics opportunities that may not have previously been considered.
“It’s a natural partnership for us, as we both are committed to helping exporters improve their exporting systems. Together NZTC and NZ Post have the ability to offer exporters a range of supply and distribution opportunities they may not have been previously been aware of,” Mike said.
“NZ Post’s freight logistics can provide exporters with the trust and reassurance that the NZ Post brand has always stood for, but with a whole range of exciting options - at competitive rates.”
General Manager, NZ Post International Business, Clare Kernot said that both NZ Post and the NZTC team are passionate about helping exporters grow and are constantly looking for new ways to do so.
“The NZTC provides a great service matching exporters with offshore markets, distributors and customers; NZ Post can offer New Zealand businesses the products and services to get their goods into and out of these markets.
“NZ Post has years of experience in international freighting and logistics offerings which export community can tap into. By teaming up with NZTC we can talk direct with New Zealand exporters so we continue to get a first hand view of the concerns or opportunities in our exporting community.
“NZ Post is looking forward to working with the NZTC over the next three years to add value to New Zealand exporters,” she added.
Ms Kernot says there are more opportunities than ever these days for exporters to take advantage of.
“While it’s coming to an end, 2007 is Export Year. NZ Post has brought a range of highly competitive products to the exporting market which exporters may not be aware of.”
Taillie agrees.
“Also because New Zealand Post is a member of the Universal Postal Union it can help exporters to access international markets through its overseas connections.
“For example, exporters could have direct mail material delivered to Australian letterboxes using NZ Post’s connections with Australia Post.
“We’re looking forward to facilitating this for customers with NZ Post.”
To officially launch the agreement, a function will be held on 29 November at the New Zealand Trade Centre, 26 Albert St, Auckland City. For more information visit www.nztc.co.nz
