X-Type features increase
Jaguar's price leading X-Type sedan is getting more luxury specification for 2008.
It continues as a single model, the X-Type Sport, with a 2.1 litre V6 motor and five speed automatic transmission for $64,990. A three litre model with All Wheel Drive is available to special order at $79,990.
New standard specification for 2008 includes dynamic stability control, power fold mirrors, rear seat centre head restraint, front seat sliding armrest, and heated 10 way adjustable front seats with driver's memory.
"These features are worth $9500, but the price of the 2008 X-Type Sport has only increased $1000," said Wallis Dumper, the Managing Director of Motorcorp Distributors, the Jaguar distributor for New Zealand.
"This high specification will continue to enhance the X-Type's position as one of the best small - medium premium sedans on our market under $65,000," said Mr Dumper.
The X-Type will continue to be imported in small shipments of limited numbers, as it was in 2007. Standard equipment includes sport's suspension, traction control, DSC, ABS brakes with EBD and EBA, front fog lights, rain sensing wipers, automatic headlights, rear parking aid and rear spoiler.
In the cabin there is full leather upholstery, audio and telephone controls on the steering wheel, cruise control, trip computer, auto air conditioning, six speaker six stack CD sound system and an intrusion and perimeter alarm with engine immobiliser.
