Domino’s
launches online ordering in NZ
Pizza lovers can now order their favourite pizza online, with Domino’s Pizza launching its state-of-the-art online ordering system throughout its stores nationally.
Following more than five months of development, trials and customer feedback, the online ordering system boasts fast and straight-forward tools for customers to place an order directly with their local Domino’s store.
Peter Jones, Domino’s New Zealand General Manager, said the major advantage of the internet order system is that orders bypass the front counter and go straight to the pizza make line, making the order process much quicker.
Domino’s internet ordering features include fast payment and order processing with an accurate anticipation clock where customers can view updates of their pizza order, Peter said.
“It’s a unique system because the customer can see in real time what stage of the process their order is at, such as making, cooking and leaving the store with the driver.
“This way of ordering is an example of how we are using IT to make it easier for our customers. Essentially we are providing another shop window from which they can conveniently order their pizza at any time or location.”
The quick and easy-to-use system allows customers to choose their pizza base and add/delete toppings from the complete list of ingredients. The system also remembers each customer’s previous orders for fast re-ordering.
Customers can also use most valid Domino’s coupon for online ordering.
As of today, Domino’s Pizza’s internet ordering system is available in 87 percent of the company’s stores in New Zealand. To check it out go to: www.dominospizza.co.nz
Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd and its franchisees have 473 stores across New Zealand and Australia, employing more than 11,000 part-time and full-time staff who make more than 50 million pizzas each year.
