Professional Public Relations boosts IT & Business Team

Justine Banfield
Account Director, IT & Business, PPR

Boasting more than 16 years as a journalist, editor and public relations practitioner, Justine Banfield joined Professional Public Relations as a key member of its IT & Business team.

Bringing specialist knowledge of information technology, winemaking and viticulture, education, local government and business to her role, Justine is involved in leading the strategic development and execution of public relations programmes for a number of global clients including multinationals Oracle, EMC, Dell and Avaya (Agile).

As a journalist with IDG Communications (formerly New Zealand’s largest IT publishing house), she worked on industry titles Computerworld, CIO magazine and Reseller News. Justine also launched Wireless & Mobile magazine and was invited, as one of 10 key IT journalists, to co-author Survival of the Fastest for industry body TUANZ. Other roles included editor of City Scene, (Auckland City Council) and editor of NZ Grape Grower.

Moving into public relations, Justine was Communications and Media Manager for one of New Zealand’s largest polytechnics, Manukau Institute of Technology. She joined Professional Public Relations in January 2008 as an Account Director, as the company further boosted its commitment to the IT sector.
