AT&T in Network Sevice Provider Leaders Quadrant

AT&T Positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in Latest Asia Pacific Network Service Provider Magic Quadrant

Company Evaluated Among Asia Pacific Network Service Providers in 2007

HONG KONG, Feb. 26, 2008 — AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced that Gartner has positioned AT&T in the Leaders Quadrant in the "Magic Quadrant for Asia/Pacific Network Service Providers, 2007" report. The report evaluates Asia Pacific Network Service Providers (NSPs) on two criteria: their ability to execute and completeness of vision.

According to the report, leaders demonstrate strong vision, especially in terms osf defining future market needs. They back their vision by investing ahead of competitors in new or unproven areas, and are generally better positioned for the future. However, significant differences exist between the Leaders in terms of strategy and execution, and none excel in all areas. The long-term outcome is not clear for these providers, as continued challenges may force some to scale back their plans and presence.

Norihiko Minato, vice president AT&T Asia Pacific, said, “We are delighted to be positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Asia Pacific Network Service Providers. Being positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in Asia Pacific demonstrates our extensive network reach and customer-oriented approach in bringing superior networking services and an exceptional
product portfolio to enterprises across the region. It reinforces our continued focus on investing in the geographies and in the services that are demanded by our business customers.”
