Award-winner to help Harcourts grow internationally


27 March 2008: An award-winning real estate industry leader has been appointed to a new role in Harcourts International aimed at helping to facilitate the growth of the Harcourts brand internationally.

Before his recent appointment to the role of International Franchise Development Manager for Harcourts International, Aaron Hodson was an award-winning Business Owner, Sales Manager and Sales Consultant for Harcourts' largest office in Western Australia, Harcourts GBT.
Mr Hodson joined GBT in 2001 as a Sales Consultant and quickly made his mark in the industry by achieving numerous state and national awards and reaching personal sales milestones. Five years ago he became a joint Business Owner of the office and under his ownership it achieved Top Office in Australia for Harcourts for two years in a row.

Mr Hodson says he is excited by the new challenge of helping Harcourts' brand grow internationally.

"Helping to bring something new and truly innovative to countries such as China and India, ensuring clients and the real estate industry alike can experience the same cutting edge systems, tools and support that Harcourts has provided in Australia and in New Zealand for a number of years, is something I am really looking forward to."

Harcourts International Managing Director Mike Green says Mr Hodson, who is originally from New Zealand, brings a wealth of experience and enormous success as a top Business owner and Sales Consultant to the important new role.
"Already the fastest growing real estate group in Australasia and the largest in New Zealand, our focus is now on expanding into international markets. This reflects our awareness that more and more we are operating in a global village and need to ensure we provide our sellers with global exposure, and our buyers with the widest range of property information and opportunity," Mr Green says.

Based in Brisbane, Mr Hodson's initial focus is on ensuring the success of Harcourts international partners in Singapore, Indonesia, Zambia and China as well as exploring opportunities already identified in the dynamic markets of Dubai and India.

Editor's Note: Harcourts, which was established in Wellington in 1888, now has more than 440 offices and 3400 sales consultants in seven countries.
