Keen foodie jumps into F&B role at five-star resort
Queenstown’s five-star Millbrook Resort has appointed “keen foodie” Aynslee Bell as the resort’s new F&B manager.
Ms Bell, formerly Millbrook’s Senior Conference & Events Co-ordinator for the past two years, started her new role on Monday March 31.
Ms Bell said she was keen to make the step up into the new role as she knew she would be working with “a really great team”.
“I’ve worked closely with the F&B team, the executive chef and restaurant manager for the past two years, so I can say with great confidence that the team works really well together,” she said.
The 65-member strong F&B team includes staff at the Millhouse and Clubhouse restaurants, the Hole in One bar and café, the banqueting team and staff responsible for minibars and room service.
“There certainly won’t be any huge changes, for a start,” she said.
“The Millhouse in particular has been receiving rave reviews from guests, locals and members for its food and impeccable service, and I can say there’ll be a new winter menu out shortly that people will really enjoy.”
Ms Bell, originally from Invercargill, previously worked in other roles in Queenstown following ten years spent overseas, working and travelling around Europe.
“I’d describe myself as a keen foodie, but not really much of a cook,” she said. “I certainly appreciate the hard work and effort that goes into producing a good experience for our guests and I’m looking forward to a busy winter season and even busier summer to come.”
