Oktobor Set For More Creative Expansions
Oktobor Set For More Creative Expansions
Local and international awards, a nod for judging at Clio and a new appointment strengthen the Oktobor offer
AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND, Monday 14 April 2008:
Pre-eminent digital effects company Oktobor continues to go from strength to strength on the back of last year’s successful re-entry into the New Zealand market, with additional awards up its sleeve and a world-class digital media expert joining the team.
Sean Dekkers recently took fourth place at the Annual Boards Awards in the Motion Graphics category. These awards identify the hottest new motion and graphics talent on the planet. For Sean, this comes off the back of taking out the Compositing section at the Adobe Awards earlier this year.
Oktobor has also been successful in securing the 2008 Sir Julius Vogel Award in the Best Dramatic Presentation – Short Form category for the Buy Kiwi Made campaign.
Senior Oktobor artist Jonny Kofoed will form part of the international judging panel at the 49th annual Clio Awards in the Technique category. The awards will be announced in May in South Beach, Florida.
In addition, more fresh talent is set to join the Oktobor team this year with Mark Zeman coming on board shortly as Technical Director, further strengthening Oktobor’s digital offer.
Mark brings with him a wealth of both academic and commercial expertise having spent the past four years lecturing at Massey University across the digital media area. Prior to this, Mark spent five years as director and lead developer at Morse Media, a leading media design studio he founded.
Mark says the decision to join Oktobor was an easy one. “I admire their creative output which stems from having a fantastic team of creative and technically talented people. I can’t wait to start.”
Oktobor General Manager Patrick McAteer says Mark adds an exciting new dimension to its existing array of world-class talent. “We are now at the top of our game and will continue to generate more success, not only for ourselves, but for existing and potential clients alike.”
