Introduces Pink As The New Green
Iconic fashion designer, Trelise Cooper, has joined forces with Progressive Enterprises to launch New Zealand’s first designer eco bag.
Available in Foodtown and Woolworths stores nationwide as of today, priced $4.95, the limited edition designer bag is part of Progressive’s ongoing initiative to promote eco bag usage and reduce the number of plastic bags used.
Peter Smith, Managing Director of Progressive Enterprises commented, “Shoppers often forget their eco bags when going to the shops. Trelise’s eye-catching bag is designed to encourage people to remember their eco bags when they go grocery shopping.
The Trelise bag is a colourful yet practical alternative to the traditional green eco bags currently available in Progressive stores allowing shoppers to be stylish and green at the same time”.
Since Progressive launched their re-usable eco bags in December 2003, nearly 1.5 million eco bags have been sold and over the last 12 months alone, plastic bag usage has been reduced by nearly 29 million.
Trelise Cooper commented, “We all have a role to play in protecting our environment. If we use and re-use our eco bags, we can help reduce the number of plastic bags used.
I hope that people will find joy in knowing that each time they use this bag they are doing their bit to help. Together we can make a difference”.
