Taranaki best place to sell real estate

Allied Farmers First National Real Estate has scooped the pool at First National’s recent conference, winning three of the network’s major national awards.

Of the almost 100 First National offices, Allied Farmers First National Real Estate in Stratford won Top Office of the Year (Group 2 – six to 10 sales consultants) and Owen Mills won Top Sales Consultant (of First National’s 700-odd salespeople) and Top Rural Sales Consultant.

Mills’ long time office colleague, sales consultant Kevin Walsh, came third top rural sales consultant and 12th overall.

Receiving his prize at First National’s conference at the Sebel Trinity Hotel, Tauranga last week, Mr Mills attributed his successful year to being in the right part of the country in the right sector of the market at the right time and with a highly experienced team on board.

“We are not a big office but we are a stable, tight knit team that is more like a family, I guess. Some of the sales team have been here for over 16 years and our most recent arrival started about six years ago.

“We work extremely well together and we are successful in selling farms from all over Taranaki, not just Stratford where we are based.”

Allied Farmers First National sold Taranaki’s record $13.4m dairy farm last year.

First National New Zealand General Manager John Stewart said the company’s involvement in Taranaki’s rural communities over many years had seen them become the preferred conveyors of farm and lifestyle sales in the region.

“Dedicated to understanding the aspirations of both vendors and purchasers, Owen’s knowledge of the market, each property and its recent performance along with potential into the future has seen him consistently ensure satisfaction for both parties in his sales.

“Owen's and his team’s success reflects Allied Farmers’ and First National Real Estate’s focus on delivering comprehensive value to thousands of customers throughout the region.”
