Mike Pero Mortgages Finds New Home In Rotorua

Mike Pero Mortgages has opened its first office in Rotorua, servicing a large area surrounding the tourist city.

Paul Davies bought the franchise two months ago and says he’s excited about working in the region that incorporates Rotorua, Whakatane, Tokoroa, Taupo and districts.

“I’m absolutely wired about the challenge that lies ahead. To be honest, it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread!” he says.

Paul has spent the last 10 years as the owner/operator of his own motor vehicle dealership in Rotorua. But he felt it was time for a change and he decided to try his hand at becoming an independent mortgage broker.

“I had always been in the finance game really, as I loaned money to people when I worked in the car industry. But I looked around and I liked the feel of being part of a bigger organisation,” he says.

“Mike Pero Mortgages is the biggest and best mortgage broking company in the country. It’s a great brand that is already well-known. And just to top it all off it’s also the most trusted. I decided that being part of the Mike Pero Mortgages group would give me a huge advantage.”

Paul says he loves dealing with people on a day-to-day basis and he already had a big customer base, which had a natural fit with his new business.

“This is a fantastic business to be involved with. I think brokers are in a great position, really. We offer a free service, independent and unbiased advice and no obligation to our clients. I’m sure we are going to follow the trends of the rest of the world and see brokerage in this country grow.”

Paul couldn’t agree more. He says there was a definite need for a broker in this area – the phone is already ringing and he is open for business.
