Research shows Harcourts is
best known, most preferred real estate brand 29 May 2008 –
According to independent, nationwide research released yesterday Harcourts is the real estate agency brand best known and most preferred by New Zealand homeowners.
Announcing the results yesterday at Harcourts annual conference CEO Bryan Thomson said the research, which was conducted by The Nielsen Company (formerly AC Nielsen) recently, found that amongst New Zealand homeowners Harcourts had almost three times more top of mind awareness than its nearest rival.
New Zealand’s largest real estate group is also the most preferred by New Zealand homeowners according to the study, achieving a significantly higher percentage of the national preference than the other real estate agency brands mentioned by respondents.
As Mr Thomson told around 800 delegates attending the conference in Christchurch, the research results provide excellent endorsement of Harcourts’ reputation and performance.
“Everyone who is part of the Harcourts team, including those who have joined us from other real estate groups, knows Harcourts is the top brand. These research results prove that New Zealand homeowners agree with us!
“This bodes particularly well for us in the current market, when more than ever buyers and sellers are looking for the real estate brands and professionals with a strong reputation and proven performance,” Mr Thomson said.
“With a slowdown in the real estate market Harcourts has an opportunity to shine, and we definitely intend to do that. These excellent survey results show we have a great foundation to build on in order to achieve even greater success as a group and for our clients.”
Established in 1888 Harcourts is New Zealand’s largest real estate group, with around 190 offices nationwide and more than 1800 sales consultants. Harcourts is also the fastest growing real estate group in Australia, with a presence in every state and a combined total of more than 240 offices across the country.
In addition Harcourts has offices in Fiji, Indonesia, Singapore, China and Zambia. Harcourts is involved in the residential, rural/lifestyle and commercial property sectors, in addition to having a growing property management portfolio.
