The Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2007 won the Trophy for Best International Sauvignon Blanc and the Trophy for Best New Zealand White Wine.
This wine has already been awarded the Trophy for Champion Sauvignon Blanc at the Tri-Nations Wine Awards 2007 as well as gold medals at the NZ International Wine Show 2007 and Royal Easter Wine Show 2008. US wine publication, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, rated it at 91 points in April 2008.
This particular wine has been awarded an outstanding 41 gold medals and 30 trophies since 2001, making it New Zealand’s most awarded Sauvignon Blanc ever.
Neal Ibbotson, managing director and owner of Saint Clair Family Estate comments, “Winning trophies on an international platform always brings a thrill to our team. Even with such a highly awarded wine – we never get complacent! The most exciting thing for us is the consistency in our awards results – the quality of our 2008 vintage is looking very exciting and our aim is always to try to achieve better year on year.”
Limited stocks of Saint Clair Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2007 are still available in New Zealand from selected fine wine stores. The wine is also listed at leading restaurants throughout the country.
